Conception and implementation of an interactive model of a heart for Siemens Healthineers

The request was for a playful, interactive applicationa crowd-puller that would require no staff to operate. The goal was to draw attention to Siemens Healthineers workshops and tutorials and encourage people to register.

The Billmann solution was a one-meter tall model of a heart, custom-made from molded plastic, positioned behind a transparent 55" OLED touch display with interactive applications.

Users simulated analyzing X-ray images of heart defects, and regardless of their results they were subsequently invited to register for presentations using a QR code.

The heart model was illuminated from within using LED strips and reacted directly to the application on the display (e.g. heart rate increases). The sound design featured a bass board built into the stand in front of the display that transmitted low frequencies using a structure-borne sound transducer, creating an immersive and haptic experience.
