Adidas transforms Berlin for the 2024 European Football Championship

A fan village – the Home of Adidas Football – was installed right in front of the Reichstag parliament building in Berlin. The highlight was a 3000-square-meter stadium with room for 10,000 fans, that was used for public screenings, concerts, and corporate events.

We were commissioned by act.3 to provide sound and lighting for the stadium and its outdoor areas, as well as providing equipment for the container buildings.

There was a lot to do and do well, and finding the optimal solutions often required improvisation. Rigging, light and sound, along with countless meters of cables, had to be safely laid, installed and coordinated.
Many lights and speakers were installed, both in- and outdoors.
This amounted to more than 1000 hours of work for us – and certainly no less for our project partners!

To give you an idea

180 LED lamps were installed in the stadium roof, and a whopping 300 LED floodlights of various sizes were installed to illuminate the area around the stadium!

The 18,000 square meters around the temporary stadium were well utilized, too. There was plenty to see and experience:

Public screening of nearly all games of the 2024 European Championship
EA GameBox with PlayStation & live gaming
Concerts by well-known artists
Tattoos and hair styling
An informative journey through time with exhibits of balls, shoes, and tricots from previous tournaments.
Food courts and chill-out zones with a beach feel

Collaboration was paramount!

We are grateful to act³, AVMS, Ambion, kpm3, and everyone else who worked on this project for their excellent cooperation and professionalism. Together, we designed, built, and operated the Home of Adidas Football, a unique fan zone enjoyed by countless enthusiastic football fans during the European Championships.

But that wasn't all we did for the 2024 tournament. In addition to the Home of Adidas Football we also supported our client Adidas with a variety of events at their headquarters in Herzogenaurach, including their 75th anniversary celebration, public screenings, etc.
